Data sources.
GoParks is independent and unofficial. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Park Service, Parks Canada, BC Parks, or any other park agency.
Where park information comes from
GoParks compiles park information from public and open data sources, including sources such as the National Park Service Data API, Government of Canada / Parks Canada open data, BC Parks and other provincial and state park agencies, OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License), Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons (place descriptions and Creative Commons or public-domain photography, credited to their authors), and other public park-related datasets.
Each source remains governed by its own original terms and licences. GoParks does not claim ownership of source data provided by government agencies or third-party data providers.
Accuracy
Park information may be incomplete, outdated, or approximate. Boundaries, names, hours, fees, closures, conditions, and safety advisories can change.
Before making travel decisions, always check the official website for the park or agency responsible for that location.
Names and trademarks
Park names, logos, and marks remain the property of their respective agencies and owners. GoParks uses park names descriptively to identify parks, not to suggest affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship.
